It's all about give aways!

If you haven't entered the giveaway here then there is still time. I actually got the handmade goodie I'm sending as a prize made today and at the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I have to say I would love to win this goodie.  In fact I fully intend making myself a replica (maybe using different fabric) as soon as possible.

Talking of fabric and giveaways. I won the give away at Little Island Quilting recently and look at what lovelies have arrived in the mail - along with an instruction to make not hoard!

Lovely winnings
Retro styled prints in gorgeous blue colours from Denyse Schmidt

My first instincts were to make some table mats with this fabric, but Mum said could you really bear to let people put messy plates on fabric that lovely? So then I thought about a sort of runner with these and maybe add a few different fabrics in with it. But then I started to wonder if I wouldn't like a nice cushion cover more. Having made the goody for the giveaway I'm even thinking maybe I should lean towards that idea. So dear folks what do you think I should get cracking and make with this lovely fabric? And get cracking I must because I don't want Alison asking for it back!

I have to say I've won three give aways in the space of about a week so just call me 'Hadley' ::wink:: ::wink:: so I have more goodies to look forward to in the mail.

I hope your weekend is going well so far!

  3. I think a table runner would be lovely, of course it would need to go with your decor.....or a cushion.....decisions, decisions!

  4. Firstly, the fabric in the front on the right is amazing! So retro! Who knows, you may have enough fabric for bot a cushion and a table topper! Then they'd co-ordinate! And don't listen to Hadley!!!
