Technical Help Required

If I show you a nice picture of a rose in my garden maybe someone out there can help me with a little blogger technical issue I have:

My Garden June

Several people have mentioned to me they're having trouble leaving comments on my blog. I had noticed that comments have gone down recently of late. I thought as someone said they had trouble commenting via bloglovin that I needed to join that so I did. But I'm still getting reports that commenting is impossible for some. But how do I fix it? Is the problem my end or theirs?  Of course maybe I am just boring everyone. However, it does look like I'm getting a lot of traffic to my blog..,just not the comments.

I'd really like to fix this because this month is my third blogging birthday. I'd meant to say something earlier only I've been unsure what to do by means of a give away. Of course if people can't comment to enter it's all a bit pointless doing anything!

  1. Ok, so this time it has worked. This happened with someone else that I follow recently but can't remember who.Hopefully this will have worked for you.

  2. I'm afraid I can't help but am leaving a comment to check it works. I'm not sure that the problem is necessarily on your end - it could be to do with the Bloglovin' frame thing - I'm sure Susan mentioned this recently...hang on...http://canadianabroad-susan.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/thanking-wrong-person.html and in the comments Charlotte mentions a way for the commenter to solve it. I'll keep an eye out for anyone else mentioning it and will let you know if I find anything...

  3. It's the frame!! I have stopped using the frame but if you switch your comments from full page (which you have now) to embedded or pop up box people should be able to comment when they have the frame on :)
The problem with the bloglovin frame is you can't open another page, so links or full page comments won't work (possibly this is only true of some browers - I have use an old Safari and had problems so I've switched the frame off). I hope that makes sense and you get some comment lovin back!

  4. I've never had any trouble but have had the bloglovin' frame switched off since about the second day I used it. Interesting info from Lucy, though. I've just changed my comment format on my own blog coz I was set to full page. Just in case. *g*

  6. I found I have to open up the actual post from my ipad if I don't use the app...this is how I'm commenting. Otherwise I just see your photo and a short piece from the start of your post. After seeing this on some blogs I have marked as read....but not actually seen the whole post.....have I lost you? It is easy to miss something, I liked the fact that you saw the whole blog post in google reader?

  7. Ok, no problem commenting from the dashboard link- but bloglovin is non co-operative!
I had a surprising amount of traffic, and my lovely computer geeky daughter looked, said Oh let us look at the referring sites. Yes, that is mainly spam. From Latvia, of all places!!

I am clearly less popular than the traffic would have me believe! ( quality, not quantity ;-)))

  8. I have not had a problem commenting but I must admit to not not commenting as much, just reading blog posts.

  10. Everyone is correct. The bloglovin frame is the problem, but only if you have your comments set to full page, so it can be fixed at either end.

  12. I struggle to comment with Google Chrome and Bloglovin but Safari works just fine, may be a browser issue?

  14. I read with feedly so need to go to the blog to comment and there is no issue commenting when I am on your blog. I browse with Google Chrome. I think it is a bloglovin thing perhaps.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I read every single one and love hearing what you have to say. I do my best to reply to every comment. Although sometimes that's not possible. :-)
