Back to Skool? Give Away. CLOSED!

I'm only a couple of months late in getting a give away together for my third blogiversary. It seems with most things this year I've been uncharacteristically late. But better late than never right?

So I've put together a (loosely based) back to skool give away. I found myself in two stationers on Saturday and the smell of stationery (and yeah it does have a smell.) took me right back to the end of school holiday's when I would go shopping for a new pencil case and the obligatory novelty but-useful-items to put in it. Of course this give away is more sewing school related than secondary school.

First up: a Blueberry Park Pencil Case Kit. Well every student needs a stand out pencil case and what could be better than some Blueberry Park goodness?  Definitely too cool for school!

And to go in it how about a Frixion pen. Until Katy set me straight I thought these were a specialist sewing related pen, not something every sewist, but me, bought in a stationers and used it for all manner of temporary fabric marking situations.

You can have a red, blue or black one. Your choice.

Now given if I was going to teach a class of anything sewing related it would probably be EPP related how about a sample back of Liberty hexies and some pre cut papers to go with them?  You may recall this post when I mentioned how an order had gone astray from Very Berry Fabrics and Ali had kindly posted me out a replacement. Well I got back from holiday only to find the original order had arrived. Nearly a month after it was posted first class! I contacted Ali and she said I could either send everything back or pay for it. I opted for the latter as a girl can never have enough Liberty and I thought the sample pack would make a great give away item.

1" Liberty hexies and .75" hexie papers

Then how about these fat 8th fun fabrics from my stash?

I confess I was going to put a hand made item in with this lot, but it's not made and if I wait to make it you may be leaving school before it's done. But there may well be a little hand made item in with this lot by the time it comes to post.

One winner will win everything and everyone is entitled to enter. Comment for a second time if you're a follower and I can verify this: see your face in google connect or something.

And if you need something to comment on can you help me with a little survey. I have a spate of milestone birthdays starting this month. School friends, a family member and some other friend are either hitting the big 4-0 or 50! Quite a few of these friends would appreciate a little hand made something from me. But what do you think they'd like the best. A bag, a pouch, a lap quilt, a cushion or maybe something else entirely. I'm open to suggestions.

Oh and please please check if you're a no-reply-blogger and if you are make sure I have a way of contacting you if you win.

I'll leave this open until this Friday - yes, a whole week of school :-)

I'm doing the draw now so this is now closed...

How about a journal cover as another gift option, someone commissioned one for a 40th birthday gift earlier this year and it was gratefully received

  18. I think totes, pouches and covered journals make nice gifts. But so does Charlotte's tea folder: http://charlottenewland.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/tea-bag-wallet-tutorial.html

  22. Congratulations on you blog birthday and thanks for such a lovely giveaway.

Flex frame glasses cases could be an idea for birthday presents - either for sunglasses or reading glasses, depening on the age of the recipient :-)

  24. Hmm I think it would depend on the interests of the individuals so no help here sorry :( I make cushions for my MIL though and add to them each year if that helps? Also I love the stationery smell.

  25. Uuuummmm surely everyone loves a little shoulder bag now and then. It's the men who are the hardest to think what to make for. Fab give away, I have fingers and toes crossed xx

  26. I know what you mean about new stationery - the little notebooks and packs of pens/pencils/crayons/felt tips get me every time! Congratulations on three years of blogging, I'm a happy follower through GFC (does that still exist?!) and in Feedly.

  27. How about covers for gadgets, if they have them? If not maybe a fabric basket (or change tray) filled with little goodies that they would appreciate and perhaps not buy for themselves? Of course, you are the queen of bags so a 241 tote or similar would also be great!

  28. Lovely giveaway, lots of goodies.
My go-to gift of choice is usually a cushion - 20" with an Ikea cushion pad (I buy these by the dozen as they are cheap!)

  29. Ha, reminds me of the line from You've Got Mail regarding 'Bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils' :oD

Hmm, depends on the people I guess! I made my mum a dress for her 60th, that she could wear to the dance she and dad were hosting. For dad's, I bought him a Kindle and made him a case for it.

  32. This is such a fun giveaway with lots of sewing love in it, thank you heaps and heaps. For the last year or two I have made all my friends bags and pouches. As it is a 'big' birthday though I would probably go with something bigger like a lap quilt.
